Being a Great Bargain Huntress keeps me on the alert for deluxe deals and a few months ago I’d been tipped off to Goldstar but wasn’t sure if they were worth the surf. Some of the offerings looked interesting but I was dragging my feet. But one of last week’s deals was half off NYC Ballet tickets to see Sleeping Beauty. Yes, I know this doesn’t send a shiver of excitement down most people’s spines but when NYCB and Lincoln Center announced their winter program my mom was thrilled. Me, not so much but when I saw the huge discount, I thought, why not make the old girl happy. Goldstar had 2 prices for the performance, one for first tier and the other for side orchestra but they didn’t give exact seat location until you picked up the tickets. I took a chance and went for the Orchestra seats for $55 and then I was thrilled as we were seated in row “E”, five back from the stage and five in from the aisle. I don’t remember ever having a better view. And when I struck up a conversation with the woman next to me, she said she also got her great tickets through Goldstar and has bought event tickets for cruises, food and wine events, theater, live music and has never been disappointed.
So two big thumbs up to Goldstar
